What does 'Irradiated' mean?
In natural smokey quartz, it is exposure to radiation underground that give the smokey/golden hue to the quartz. Irradiation is the man made process of doing this which allows for the extra dark tones the quartz takes on. The quartz receives the same radiation - but I would rather be transparent and let you know that this is a man made radiation process.
